Art 3 - Guided Open Studio

Course Catalog ID:
4547
Subject Categories:
Art and Digital Graphics, New and Improved
Description

This class is open to students who have completed a prior TPS Art 2 or higher course and want to continue working on a specific area of study in a small group setting with other TPS art students. The classes will be interactive, with the students working concurrently in a virtual studio context. While individual areas of study may vary, students will benefit from a community of like-minded artists who challenge and encourage one another in the creative process. Students will also give and receive constructive feedback through a series of in-class critiques of their finished works. The teacher will provide guidance and address topics of common interest in periodic lectures. Like other TPS studio courses, the final project will be a polished mini-portfolio of the work completed throughout the course. This course is appropriate for students who want to develop work for a portfolio or who just enjoy honing their techniques and vision for their art. It is also a great way to continue the relationships developed in prior courses in the TPS Art program.
