Your path to understanding business ownership and management starts here. This survey course explores current business and industry examples to introduce the students to key business concepts. Students examine a wide range of business matters, including: types of businesses (sole proprietor, partnership, corporations, limited liability company), factors unique to small business and entrepreneurship, the basics of Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Management, key factors of business ethics and HR, and special considerations regarding e-commerce, the global market, and social media platforms.
