Description

In this summer course students will learn the basics of how to utilize their camera settings, compose images, and work with natural summer light. Each week will cover a new theme or subject, and a new technique. After the first class each week, students will take some shots and apply what they learned. Then in the second class each week, students will critique their shots from earlier that week, followed by an opportunity to re-shoot applying lessons learned from the critique. In addition to the regular learn-shoot-critique-shoot process, students may also have short reading assignments before class. Upon completion of the course students will understand how their camera works and how to shoot with it, and be ready for other photography courses.
