This exciting course teaches HTML and CSS by having students go through the entire process of building, styling and updating their own web site. Starting with domain name and host selection, then proceeding to initial build, the course lays the groundwork for going step by step through learning HTML 5 and applying it to the live web site project. In addition to using HTML to customize the structure and organization of their site, students will also master CSS, a language that allows web developers to control the style and design of a site. By the end of the course, each student will have his own dynamic web site which he can use to further his web design skills. This course is excellent training and experience for anyone wanting to run a small business site (self-employed or for an employer). It is also a good foundation for later pursuit of advanced web skills (JavaScript, PHP) or for merging with programming skills. Adults are welcome to this course as well.
