Standardized Test Registration

… in seeking information about College Board or other standardized tests, use only current College Board or official web pages from the testing organization (e.g., ACT, CLT) for your guidance and information…

The College Board and other testing organizations (e.g., ACT, CLT) are continually updating their processes, particularly as they apply to home educated students. TPS maintains a direct relationship with the College Board in order to represent home education and keep abreast of College Board initiatives and decisions regarding home educated students and standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, SAT Subject, AP). Home school web sites often give “advice” about how to prepare, register, and report these standardized tests. TPS also regularly reviews popular sites, and we routinely find that they contain speculative, outdated or erroneous information. TPS recommends that in seeking information about College Board or other standardized tests, use only current College Board or official web pages from the testing organization (e.g., ACT, CLT) for your guidance and information. Do not trust even the usually-reliable and well-intended third-party sites.

If you are a TPS student or family needing help finding the latest official information about how to register for the PSAT, SAT, SAT Subject, AP or other College Board tests, please contact TPS Support and we will point you to the latest official guidance directly from the College Board. We are also happy to help you find the latest official guidance for ACT, Common App and other evolving processes that affect home educated students preparing for and applying to colleges. We recommend that you do not use third-party information for any of these important milestones.
