English Writing and Literature

“This has been a really stress-less, fun course for me. I have learned so much about linguistics and the history of English throughout the school year! The homework load was perfect.”

College, Math

“As someone who has a love/hate relationship with math, I loved this course. Every chapter is on a different mathematical topic and is just challenging enough to keep things interesting. The teacher knows her math really well and is able to teach it in a way that is easy to understand. I liked her interactive classes and loved that she always took the time to answer questions, and made sure everyone understood the concepts.”

AP, Science

“I thoroughly enjoyed taking AP Physics this year and I feel very prepared for the AP exam! I recommend this course for three principal reasons: the academic rigor of this course, the interactive classroom atmosphere, and the abundant study materials and resources. For those students and parents that want an academically rigorous course, this AP Physics will not disappoint. Although this was my first year taking courses with The Potter’s School, I have taken online courses for the past six academic years and I can confidently say that I have been in few classroom atmospheres that match this course’s caliber.”

Math

“This year I wasn’t able to take math at the homeschool co-op where I would normally take it. This was a perfect substitute and I am very grateful I had this opportunity. Despite the heavy work load, my teacher was able to always help out with any questions on homework I had, and every test gave all of the feedback I would have needed. This course is very packed, and any time we had left over in class was always used to help answer any questions I or my classmates had, making the experience interactive even without having cameras. The material was taught extremely well. Even in just half of the year I saw major improvements in my math skill as well as scoring much higher in the math section of the SAT, meaning that this class properly prepared me for the future.”

“I love, love, loved this course! The fallacies that are discussed over the course of the semester are fascinating, well-explained, and dashed with humor. The material has already proved practical in helping me think more rationally about conflicts presented to me.”

Global Languages

“This course makes Spanish so much easier than using an app. It’s interactive and the teacher is kind and encouraging. You get to build relationships even though it’s online. There are games and activities that help you learn your Spanish better, and you get to apply what you learn in conversations. The teacher always takes time to make sure you understand in and outside of class. I highly recommend TPS’ Spanish courses.”

Science

“…teacher provided excellent resources and instruction on how to study…taught students helpful tips on how to approach the necessary math in order to make the Chemistry easier…helped students learn how to use logic instead of just rote memorization…I witnessed confidence build in my student so he became not only more comfortable with the math, but also enjoyed learning the chemistry…teacher went above and beyond what is expected…”

AP, Math

“I’ve never come out of an AP course feeling more prepared for the AP exam. Although AP Calculus AB required a lot of time and effort, none of it was wasted. The teacher is thorough and engaging, and the classes are interactive. All in all, I wouldn’t change a thing about this course!”

Elementary, English Writing and Literature,

“There are many wonderful units, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, Greece, and Rome. The books I had to read were super cool. I learned about how early people in these areas lived. I also learned about significant wars and events that occurred in these parts of the ancient world. I really liked the final projects and honestly the whole class. I would certainly suggest this class to anyone who might consider it.”
