Global Languages

“This was my very first year with TPS and this was my favorite class. The book we used was great about giving lots of practice and explaining things really well. I always feel free to ask my teacher as many questions as I want in class, but it usually is not necessary because she is great about explaining everything. We always get a lot done in class and there is a great atmosphere. I can’t wait to start German 2 next year.”

English Writing and Literature

“TPS Literature Survey is a fantastic course to take if your student is looking for an in-depth, challenging, and immersive study of English literature and formal writing. Over the course of the school year, I learned more from the course and my teacher than in any other writing course I have taken. Each week I had plenty of homework to complete, and the guidelines and expectations were clear and reasonable. Furthermore, the teacher encouraged open discussion in class and required us to truly think and provide support for our beliefs and ideas. This increased the level of productive and meaningful discussions and prevented students from opting out of real participation. Thanks to Literature Survey for its incredible curriculum. And a special thanks to my teacher for growing my appreciation for writing and literature, and for emphasizing the importance to evaluate every material and philosophy through the lens of scripture. :D”

Bible

“Worldviews is, at its essence, a survey of philosophy with one eye on the theoretical and the other on the practical. By examining various movies, songs, and art-pieces, this course teaches concepts that are challenging to grasp, but at the same time very real and applicable. This course equips students with knowledge of various common worldview perspectives he or she may encounter, and ensures familiarity with the language of various worldviews.”

English Writing and Literature

“I loved this course because it greatly improved my ability to look at books, films, and poetry critically and objectively. Our assignments focused on quality more than quantity, forcing me to learn conciseness in my writing and seriously consider each thought I presented in my arguments before I submitted assignments. It is now difficult to watch a movie or read a story without noticing details behind why something was written or presented in a certain way.”

Photography Videography

“Before taking this course, I had no experience with a camera and very little experience in photography. This class taught the essentials and fundamentals of photography, and as we progressed I learned to utilize my camera with ease and take better photos. Now, I’m taking photos with strong composition and lighting.”
