English Writing and Literature

“I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to write better, loves reading, and enjoys having a fun and lively teacher. This class has really helped my writing skills grow and introduced me to numerous awesome books and short stories I would never have known about or thought to read. Our teacher pushed us to write our best and gave very helpful and encouraging comments on our writing. At the beginning of class, I chose to become an honors student and never regretted it. Though being an honors student entailed a little bit more homework, it never felt overwhelming. If you do decide to take this English 3 course, you will have an epic and exciting school year.”

College, Music

“I am planning to major in piano performance, and this class has helped prepare me for the level of theory classes that I will be taking at college. Even if you aren’t taking music in college, but have a love for music, I think taking this class will boost your knowledge of music tremendously.”

Science

“This course taught my student to think, not just to store data in short-term memory. It required him to study effectively, grasp new topics and apply his knowledge effectively on tests that measure concepts rather than just memorized information. He’s been able to use what he’s learned in other courses and to improve his ACT score. And he learned a lot about Chemistry too! I was particularly pleased with the teacher’s accessibility…”

Computer Programming

“This course was excellent, by far my favorite class of the year. The teacher was nothing but helpful, and being in class was always interactive. I never felt embarrassed if I had questions, and she always seemed to have the correct answers. In addition, the textbook was highly informative, allowing for easy review and simple research. I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn Python programming and loves great teachers who genuinely care about their teaching.”

English Writing and Literature

“This year’s English class increased my skill to evaluate texts and write well-crafted essays and paragraphs. This class renewed my love for writing and gave me a new love for studying texts in depth. Looking at sometimes hard-to-read books is much less daunting now because of the analysis skills I gained in the class. I recommend this course to everyone!”

Global Languages

“This course is not only an incredible end to the Spanish courses at TPS, it is a wonderful experience on its own. Rather than focusing mainly on grammar and the more technical side like some of the lower classes, it is structured to let the students spend more time reading and learning about Spanish culture, from famous Spanish plays and Latin American books to articles about different countries and their traditions. I would highly recommend this course to people who want to further their understanding of not only the language, but also the whole new world which it can open up to them.”

Bible

“When I took this class I didn’t really know what to expect. I thought it was just going to be a Bible message class talking about a few ways to present the Bible to someone. But what I learned was so much more than that. I will never look at sermons or speaking the word to someone in the same way ever again. This class gave a clear direction to me on how to open minds for God to work. It’s amazing and I recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about sharing the Gospel!”

Bible

“This course was my favorite class I have ever taken. I cannot begin to express how much I have grown spiritually and how my relationship with God has grown because of this class. I have learned so much about myself and how important it is to know our faith and be able to explain it to others, praying that they too may be touched by the Holy Spirit and have an eternal change in their life as well.”
