Transcripts

Any student anywhere in the world — including independent (home educated) students — can earn an accredited TPS transcript recognized worldwide.

Transcript Planning

Are you seeking the strongest high school transcript you can for your student? Please consider our recommendations for building a strong transcript. Don’t wait until just before high school — look ahead and start planning and preparing in middle school or even sooner.

To build your strongest transcript and receive maximum benefits from TPS, consider our Diploma Partnership (even if your primary diploma will be a homeschool diploma conferred by Mom and Dad). The TPS Diploma Partnership builds your strongest transcript and provides other benefits and savings.

Transcript Options

TPS provides grade reports and transcripts to meet a variety of diverse needs. What type of transcript do you need for college or scholarship applications? That depends on the college or scholarship. As a general rule, an official transcript will be weighted more heavily than a self-generated one, especially if the transcript is from a recognized source with a strong academic reputation and School Profile. If you are listing TPS on your transcript as one of your “schools,” you should get an official transcript (with a school profile included) from TPS. If you are not going to send official records from TPS, you should not list TPS as one of your schools.

There are three options below for grade reports and transcripts. Each option requires different information and has a different required format. Each option has different fees. To avoid delays and non-refundable fees, please choose the correct option for your need. If you are uncertain which to choose, please consult TPS Support before placing an order.

  • If you do not need an official (certified by accreditation) transcript, choose the free self-print Grade Report.
  • If you need an official transcript for college or scholarship application, choose the College Application / NCAA Transcript.
  • If you need a transcript for NCAA eligibility reporting, choose the College Application / NCAA Transcript.
  • If you need a transcript for transferring grades to another secondary school (not college), choose the Transfer Transcript.

  •  Process
    • (Option 1) To order a prepared or updated certified official TPS transcript to be delivered to one or more colleges or NCAA (for NCAA, also see additional guidance below):
      1.  You must use secure Parchment delivery to the college or NCAA. First create an open Parchment request (we cannot prepare the official transcript for your review or for delivery without the open Parchment request).
      2. After creating the Parchment request, please complete and submit this TPS Transcript Preparation form.
    • (Option 2) To order only an unofficial watermarked TPS transcript without signature and seal delivered to personal email address, please complete and submit this TPS Transcript Preparation form (no Parchment account or order required).
    • (Options 1 and 2) To order the prepared or updated certified official TPS transcript to be delivered to one or more colleges and also request an unofficial watermarked TPS transcript without signature and seal delivered to personal email address, please follow Option 1 and then indicate your additional request on the TPS Transcript Preparation form.
  • If you are listing NCAA as one of your transcript recipients:
    • Prior to this request, you must go go your NCAA account and add TPS as one of your authorized schools. Otherwise, TPS cannot submit your transcript.
    • Be sure to provide your NCAA student number in the request. TPS must include this on the transcript for it to be accepted.
    • Note that NCAA ignores all courses except core subjects. If you have a question about what courses NCAA accepts, please use the TPS six-digit NCAA code 850857 to locate TPS NCAA-approved courses on the NCAA site.
    • You must use Option 1 (above) for an NCAA transcript.

Transfer Transcript (signed, sealed, accreditation logos)

TPS Logo MSA-CESS Logo

Before placing this order, please note that a transfer transcript should not be needed for an independent (homeschool) student. High schools who want to review your progress should accept the free self-print Grade Report with a parent signature or as part of a transcript prepared by the parent. When it comes time to apply to college, students applying as independent applicants usually submit a transcript signed by parents with one or more external official school transcripts as supporting documents.

The main instance in which an official Transfer Transcript may be required is in registering for a full-time state school where you want the state school to incorporate the prior courses and grades into their own official transcript, and you intend to apply to college with that one school transcript (i.e., not as an independent student, possibly with multiple transcript sources). The option below is available primarily for this purpose, but may be used for any secondary school transfer of grades and credits.

  • Purpose:
    • Submit courses and grades to a high school or middle school.
    • Cannot be submitted to a college or NCAA.
  • Grades and credits reported
    • All courses are listed, including completed, audit, and courses dropped at any point prior to completion.
    • All course grades are listed.
    • HS credit is listed for all TPS courses taken in grades 8-12 that list in the TPS course catalog for high school credit. HS credit is not conferred for courses taken in grades 7 and below.
    • All HS credit course grades (grades 8-12 only) are included in the GPA except Audit and In Progress courses.
    • Audit courses will be listed as “Audit” and not included in the GPA.
    • Courses in progress will be listed as “IP” and not included in the GPA.
    • HS credit courses dropped before completion without a prior TPS waiver are listed as Failed and will be included in the GPA.
    • Includes GPA calculated for that transcript.
  • Contains TPS name, logo, and signature.
  • Contains logo of TPS accreditation (candidate member) from Middle States Association – Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.
  • Unofficial copy provided to family.
  • Cost
    • Setup and Email Delivery: $35
      • No rush orders or fees.
      • No refunds.
    • Delivery. The Setup and Email Delivery fee includes sending one time to two school email addresses (and free unofficial copy to family email). Postal delivery and web site upload have additional fees.
  • Processing time: Please allow two weeks (may be longer during school breaks) from when the request is correctly submitted and paid to electronic delivery of the transcript. No rush orders. No time estimates are provided or implied for postal delivery or receipt.
  • Process: To request a transfer transcript to be prepared for delivery, please complete and submit this TPS Transfer Transcript Request form.
