“This class has been one of the best I’ve taken with TPS so far. One of the best things about this course is the instructor. She is very competent, and she very obviously cares about every student and their improvement, and also about encouraging them. Both years I had a class with her, she fostered a supportive, yet social environment. She helped to make Russian much less daunting, and now I feel like I can hold a conversation with a native, I can figure out grammar, I can read a Russian newspaper or write an email in Russian. The amount of homework felt very appropriate and doable. I recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning a new language, because I’ve consistently had homework, teaching, and practice that met my needs.”

“Russian 2 is an amazing course led by a wonderful teacher. This program covers not only the language but also Russian culture and history, which enabled me to learn Russian with a native-like mindset. The teacher explained grammar rules, vocabulary, and intonation in such a way that it was easy for me to learn as well as enjoyable. I would highly recommend this course for anyone looking to further their Russian studies.”

“The teacher is very patient and understanding, and she tries to make learning Russian as fun, simple, and memorable as it can get. This course requires commitment, and the material is not always easy, but it’s rewarding to see my improvements in all aspects of the Russian language — reading, writing, listening, and speaking.”

“This course was amazing! It builds well off of Russian 1 Language and Culture (Honors). It is very interactive, and the teacher helps to review over material well enough for the entire class to grasp each aspect of grammar and culture. Thank you so much for this wonderful course! I learned so much, and now I feel prepared to finish out High School with Russian 3!!!”

“The teacher is amazing and she has made it possible for me to learn Russian. She truly wants her students to succeed, which is obvious in her encouragement during class and the materials she creates. Russian is a difficult language, no doubt, but the teacher helps by creating detailed study guides for each chapter that combine vocab and grammar. This class is the best next step for anyone who took Russian 1.”

“After taking Russian 1, this class allowed me to advance my understanding of Russian even further! I learned so much more than expected about not only the language but the culture as well! I highly recommend this course to anyone who has previously taken Russian 1, because having the ability to speak near-fluent Russian and knowing so much about Russia grants an incredible feeling!”
