This course uses a text that is rich in media content and updated for the recent exam changes, to help students optimize their scores. It examines common threads of humanity — trade, religion, politics, society, and technology — throughout history, investigating how these have changed in different locations and cultures over time. The student will learn to identify and analyze these broad patterns and processes from the perspective of continuity and change. The course pace is fast, the ideas are complex, and the content is mature, but it is all analyzed with a biblical worldview. The course specifically prepares students to excel on the AP World History exam, and as the course progresses much of the content focuses directly on exam preparation, including AP practice problems, essays, and exams.
